Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
Oversee the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for operations.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as needed.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
Supervise and mentor purchasing team members, providing guidance and training as necessary.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
