Our client, a global leader in innovative packaging solutions, is looking for a 1st Shift Controls Engineer to join their growing team near Dixon MO! This role will be responsible for programming and troubleshooting automated equipment. The ideal candidate will have a certification or degree in Electrical Technology, Robotics or Automation. Previous experience in an Automation type role, along with experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, is required. Candidate must have advanced Programming experience. This position is salary M-F.

responsibilities:
Implement, upgrade, and troubleshoot PLC software applications and robotic applications (RSLogix 5000 and ABB)
Read and interpret equipment manuals to develop a controls narrative or adjust current equipment functionality
Modify existing applications as requested by operations to improve plant production and equipment reliability
Design and maintain electrical schematics using AutoCAD format for any equipment changes
Support multiple maintenance related projects
