This Job Requires Machine Harvest Of Bulk Radish, Carrots, Brussel Sprouts, And Beets; Hand Harvest Herbs, Greens, Beets, Root Crops, Green Onions, Brussels Sprouts, Radish, Winter Squash; Irrigation, Planting, Packing, Washing, Tractor/Mechanical Maintenance, Crop Preparation, Crop Protection, Crop Transport, Machinery Maintenance And Tear Down Sanitation Of Packing Shed Equipment And Grounds/Facilities By The Worker.

Row Crop/ Vegetable Job Descriptions:

Specific Job Requirements:

    1. Must Be Able To Stand, Stoop, Bend, Kneel, And Reach For Long Periods Of Time.
    1. Responsible For Helping With Day-To-Day Farming Operations In Their Designated Area On The Row Cropfarm.
    1. Duties Include Harvesting, Packaging, Weeding, Washing And Cooling Of Row Crop Vegetables To Meetproduction Standards And Procedures.
    1. The Work Is Under The General Direction Of A Supervisor Or Employer And Is Subject To Period Review Bythe Supervisors For Results Obtained, Changes In Work Methods, And Adherence To Policies.
    1. Maximize Crop By Best Weeding And Harvesting Practices.
    1. Must Be Able To Lift Up To 60 Pounds.
    1. Work With Crews That Move And Set Up Irrigation Pipes.

Workers Can Also:

    1. Drive Tractors
    1. Spray And Mix Chemicals And Fertilizers
    1. Operate Trucks To Carry Farm Equipment, Crops And Farmworkers
    1. Perform General Repair Of Agricultural Equipment.
    1. Pack Crops Into Containers.
    1. Workers May Drive Company Vehicles That Are 24 Or Less Passenger Vehicles. Employees That Want Tobe Drivers Must Possess A Valid Drivers License. The Drivers License Is Not A Pre-Hire Job Requirement.They Will Drive Workers From Living Quarters To Work Site And Vice Versa And Provide One Weekly Trip Toworkers To Purchase Groceries (Transportation Is Provided For Workers Who Must Be Provided Housingunder The Applicable Regulation

Field Worker Will Do The Following Tasks:

  • Plant Transplants And/Or Seeds
  • Harvest A Variety Of Produce
  • Pack Produce For Delivery To Customers
  • Lift And Stack Produce On Trucks For Transport To Main Farm
  • Perform Weeding As Needed Follow Instructions From Field Supervisors
  • Keep Production Levels At Crew Rates
  • Work With Irrigation Systems
  • Perform Manual Labor As Needed
  • Work Safely Following Procedures And Instructions
  • Follow Instructions Regarding Hygiene And Food Safety.
