TEIJIN CARBON AMERICA INC Production Operator in Rockwood, Tennessee
[The Manufacturing Operator will be primarily responsible for safely operating equipment, patrolling production line operating areas, inspecting product to ensure manufacturing and product standards are met. To utilize skills presented through training techniques and apply skills as required to produce TCA products. [Working shift hours are 12 hours. Production lines operate on 12-hour rotating shifts, including day and night rotations (1 week of days and 1 week of nights). Shift hours will be adjusted depending on production requirements.
**[JOB DUTIES [ Lead safe work practices within the area [ Ensure process control [ Correct line upsets [ Maintain the flow of information to the Shift Leader and colleagues within the production line in the event of disruptions/deviations [ Learn every position in the process line [ Willingness/Ability to learn and support in multiple positions throughout the line [ Identify risk and participate in risk reduction activities [ Perform routine maintenance tasks as required [ Carefully handle any work equipment, including tools, PPE, etc. [ Maintain 6S [ Any additional duties as assigned
[Qualifications and Skills [ High School Diploma or GED [ Preferred 2 years of manufacturing experience or Manufacturing Production Technician Certification (SCMC, MSSC, or equivalent certification) [ Display a strong aptitude for teamwork and communication Meet physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, bending over, and lifting 50+lbs.
