Part Time Client Service Representative

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team.

We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets.

Why We Need You

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, checking in appointments, getting patient weights, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.

  • Answering incoming calls and placing outbound calls.

  • Scheduling appointments.

  • Taking messages for the doctors and technicians.

  • Sending referral paperwork to the correct hospital.

  • Requesting medical records from other hospitals. Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.​

  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.

  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry, parasite preventions, and other retail products the doctor will recommend.

  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

  • Checking emails and online pharmacy requests as well as responding or processing those request.

  • Maintaining inventory of food, parasite preventions, and other retail products.

  • Stock and maintain the refreshment area in the lobby.

  • Decorate and organize the lobby for client appreciation days and holidays.

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the reception area, front of the hospital, and lobby which includes sweeping, moping, window cleaning, dusting, wiping down the scale and counters, and emptying the trash receptacles.

  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.

  • Must be able to work with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other exotic pets.

  • Must be a able to work with a team.

  • Must be work Saturday hours.

  • Must be able to work some morning shifts and evening shifts.

  • Must be compassionate and show empathy towards pets and clients.
