The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector Health IT Division is seeking a skilled Server Operations and Infrastructure Lead to provide technical guidance and leadership to teams responsible for monitoring information systems operations and provide enterprise-level network system administration, planning, and management in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment for Federal Health customers.

This hybrid position based in Rockville, MD; candidate must be located in the DC Metro area for onsite meetings and client engagements. Candidate must be a US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Server Operations and Infrastructure Lead will provide technical leadership, guidance and hands on support to achieve continual infrastructure and operational services for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Virtual Data Center environments and support the delivery and improvements of the following tasks:

  • Implement and manage AWS cloud services.

  • Maintain and track application service level agreements and performance measures.

  • Establish and maintain a secure computing environment.

  • Support government off the shelf (GOTS) commercial off the shelf (COTS) application and integration and interoperability for all components.

  • Perform application and service compliance and performance (e.g., FedRAMP, Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA), FITARA).

  • Provide architecture and planning support.

  • Support all aspect of Infrastructure migration from the initial planning stages to post-migration operations.

  • Provide integration and implementation support.

  • Provide operational communication and change management support.

  • Provide operations and maintenance support.

  • Provide operations and database support.

  • Provide information systems support.

  • Provide data platforms support for visualization, analytics, and data integration.

  • Provide responsive IT service delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of successful experience providing technical leadership, guidance.

  • Current AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.

  • Hands on experience in the delivery of all aspect of AWS Cloud and Virtual Data Center infrastructure migration and operations for large and complex environment for Federal Government clients.

  • Knowledge of FISMA requirements.

  • Proven expertise in managing AWS environments, including automation of environment build and configuring services.

  • Experience and knowledge of database engine and technologies (AWS GovCloud, Oracle, Microsoft) in a 24/7 production environment.

  • Demonstrated experience providing overall enterprise-level network system administration, planning, and management.

  • The ability to lead and provide technical guidance to teams responsible for monitoring information systems operations (e.g. network, storage, system / security maintenance and updates).

  • The ability to project long-range requirements, including database administration and design, in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.

  • The ability to effectively integrate infrastructure and configuration management activities within an organization, including change control and documentation procedures.

  • Experience with leading projects and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field.

  • ITIL Foundations certification

  • Experience delivering infrastructure services in support of Health and Human Services (HHS) operating divisions, including National Institutes of Health (NIH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
