Job Details The Director of Nursing Perioperative Services is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, patient centered care through the Perioperative continuum. The Director of Nursing Perioperative Services is responsible for the operation of the department and the measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the department's performance. The Director of Nursing Perioperative Services is the leader of the team accountable for 24 hour management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, management of human, fiscal and other resources, development of personnel, and compliance with regulatory and professional standards, strategic planning and the fostering of inter-professional collaborative relationships within the Perioperative areas and throughout Catholic Health. The Director of Nursing Perioperative Services is responsible for the operational and financial management of the Perioperative Services department including responsibility for daily management and long term tactical planning and system changes needed to optimize clinical operational and financial efficiencies. The position requires the individual to successfully demonstrate strong planning, organizational, critical thinking, influencing, and communication skills. Responsibilities: EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required Advanced preparation in Nursing with a Master's Degree in Nursing preferred Current New York State RN Registration required National certification through ANCC within 1 year of hire required EXPERIENCE Surgical and/ or perioperative nursing required Progressive supervisory/ management experience required Salary Range USD $190,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
