Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Rockville Centre, New York

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager. The role involves overseeing all aspects of accounts payable operations for our busy ecommerce client. This key role requires hands-on experience with accounts payable systems and processes, particularly the Concur system, and proficient dealings with invoice management and approval workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment, employee reimbursements, and purchase orders.

• Utilize the Concur system to manage accounts payable activities, ensuring transparency and accuracy with all transactions.

• Develop and maintain an efficient approval matrix workflow within the system to streamline invoice approvals and payment process.

• Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures, exercising the ability to identify and respond to discrepancies and errors.

• Act as a liaison between internal departments and external suppliers, resolving any conflicts or issues with payments.

• Maintain vendor relations, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, providing insights and analysis on AP data.

• Collaborate with the financial team to prepare for internal and external audits.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements • Must have a strong understanding and practical experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management.

• Proficiency in using Concur software for expense management is required.

• Experience in Expense Reporting is essential for maintaining accurate financial records.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with other departments and suppliers.

• Proactive problem-solving skills to identify, address and prevent potential issues.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

• Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Knowledge of applicable financial laws and regulations.

• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.

• Prior experience in a similar role would be a significant advantage.
