Description: Responsible for the delivery of Information Security services including incident response, log monitoring, vulnerability scanning, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability reporting, digital forensics, and e-discovery in support of WSI’s enterprise security goals and objectives. Specific Responsibilities • Responsible for the delivery of Information Security services including incident response, log monitoring, vulnerability scanning, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability reporting, digital forensics, and e-discovery in support of WSI’s enterprise security goals and objectives. Analysts use a variety of tools and processes to identify security vulnerabilities, assess the risk posed to the enterprise by those vulnerabilities, and work with the responsible asset owners to communicate the risks posed by those vulnerabilities. Analysts monitor networks and systems for active security threats, investigate security incidents, conduct forensic investigations and malware analysis to determine causes and impacts, and manage security incident response. Analysts conduct e-discovery investigations to support company litigation and compliance efforts. Analysts assist in the development and implementation of information security technical standards, prepares status reports on information security matters to develop information security operational analysis scenarios and response procedures. • Maintain proactive health check operations including run-book tasks, service monitoring alerts, and comprehensive configuration documentation for specified security tools. • Monitors security logs within the WSI environment for defined patterns and anomalies. • Monitor security tools to ensure service availability. Provide statistical data reports that support availability management process • Use security tools and processes to monitor anomalous security events, analyze those events, and respond or escalate per defined processes and procedures • Maintain a current knowledge of vulnerability exploits and malware as well as a familiarity with underground sources. • Provide security assessment and recommendations for approval/denial to management as part of a defined standards exception process for violations of published security standards • Perform other tasks as requested to ensure Information Systems Security meets its commitments to customers • Maintain all Security Analyst operations and service levels for security tools and services • Demonstrates solid understanding of knowledge, principles, and/or applications of the following areas; is able to complete moderately complex projects, with minimal guidance and supervision. - Technology & Information Security - System Performance, Operations and Design - Consulting Skills - Risk Measurement & Management - Technical Project Management - Policy Development - Technical Information Reporting
