We have an immediate opening for an Aerospace Test Engineer at our location in Rockford, ILL.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Write technical reports or other documentation, such as Engineering Reports, Test Procedures, and Presentations for use by engineering staff, management, or customers.

  • Plan or coordinate activities concerned with investigating and resolving customers' reports of technical report problems with aircraft.

  • Evaluate product data or design from inspections or reports for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, environmental regulations, or quality standards.

  • Interpret design criteria for aeronautical or aerospace products or systems, including testing methods, production costs, quality standards, environmental standards, or completion dates.

  • Analyze project requests, proposals, or engineering data to determine feasibility, predictability, cost, or production time of aerospace or aeronautical products.

  • Maintain records of performance reports for future reference

  • Understand conceptual design of aeronautical or aerospace products or systems to meet customer requirements or conform to environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical engineering with 1+ years or comparable job experience

  • Engineering and Technology- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

  • Knowledge of aircraft system interfaces

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Visio, Word, Power Point, Excel

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

  • Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics, and mechanical, electrical structures and processes.

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming

  • Due to the nature of the work, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM

  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
