Aerotek is hiring multiple Welders!
Job Description
Candidates will be working in a custom job shop welding environment, welding metal parts together according to layouts, blueprints, and work orders. Welders need to be able to set their own welders and wire size according to material thickness and grade. They will also inspect their own work before sending the part to the next step of the process.
Responsibilities
Weld metal parts together according to layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
Set and adjust welding machines and wire size based on material thickness and grade.
Inspect own work to ensure quality before forwarding to the next step in the process.
Read and interpret blueprints for custom projects.
Fill out inspection sheets upon completion of welds.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
Ability to read blueprints and perform fit-up welding.
Basic shop math skills (adding and subtracting down to 1/16 or 1/32).
Experience with basic hand tools.
Knowledge of sheet metal, mild steel, and stick welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
AWS certification is preferred but not required.
Experience with fitting or fabrication is beneficial.
Ability to take parts from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00
