The hybrid position (onsite 3 - 4 days per week) located in Rockford, IL will be responsible for assisting engineers on SLS programs with administrative, documentation, process and general engineering related support activities. Individual must demonstrate the ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail, support multiple engineers and provide a wide variety of administrative and computer related tasks to assist engineering projects. This individual will perform as primary engineering support focal point for inquiries and tracking of pre-release, release and revision phases of the engineering documentation. Performs project non-technical duties and acts as process and tool expert for the engineering teams. Must possess the ability to coordinate and lead activities as well as strong organization and analytical skills.
What YOU Will Do:
Create, format and edit documentation.
Assists in tracking action items within risk and change management tools.
Primary focal for tracking documents and drawings in preparation for release and submittal
Create metrics and prepares presentation materials for analysis.
Facilitate peer reviews, maintain artifacts, solicit and provide status
Create meeting minutes in support of internal/external customer meetings
Parts ordering, tracking and shipping
Provides tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements databases, change management and tracking tools.
Supports the Bid & Proposal process as bid narrative reviewer as well as entering SOW and data items into the BMW tool
Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
Assists Engineering leads with various project management tasks as required
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
