Aerotek is hiring multiple CNC Mill Machinists!
Job Description
This position is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC milling machinery. The candidate will be setting up and operating CNC lathe machines. Basic edits to the machine and measurement of parts based on GD&T prints are required. The candidate will need to measure parts with a micrometer or caliper.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines.
Perform basic edits to machines and measure parts based on GD&T prints.
Detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram controls, and sharpen and replace worn tools.
Program CNC machines by entering instructions, setting work offsets and reference points, entering key tool data, tool offsets, compensation, and conditional adjustments.
Prove part programs by simulation or dry runs.
Use MasterCam software for programming mills and download posts to the machines.
Use Mazatrol, HAAS, or E-Z Guide software conversationally on the machine tools.
Set up CNC machines by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, vises, fixtures, tie downs, attachments, collets, and stops.
Optimize run times between cycles by utilizing multiple vises on setups.
Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of CNC Experience with MAZAK, HAAS, or DOOSAN machines is a plus.
Ability to edit machines and perform offsets.
Proficient in measuring completed parts using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
Experience in setting tools and work offsets.
Knowledge of programming CNC machines using MasterCam, Mazatrol, HAAS, or E-Z Guide software.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
