SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is responsible for calling on OEMs and providing HVAC solutions to the industries we serve as well as seeking out new opportunities for our products. The Business Development Manager will work closely with customers and local engineering staff to provide technical information, use problem-solving skills, and sell engineered systems solutions to our customer base.
\ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\ \
- - Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Prepares cost estimates by studying designs, plans, and related customer documents; consults with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff, costing engineering changes.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Develops customers staff by providing technical information and training.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
{=html} <!-- --> - - Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
{=html} <!-- --> - Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- - Bachelors degree Business, Marketing, Engineering or a similar area. Training and experience may be considered in lieu of education.
{=html} <!-- --> - - 5 years of a demonstrated track record in sales performance working with commercial HVAC systems within our markets or has related experience selling engineered systems solutions to similar markets.
