Master Design Landscape Co. is looking to fill Snow Removal Laborer positions in Rock Island County, Illinois, and Scott County, Iowa. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position and we are looking to fill 6 (six) job openings for employment from November 9, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
Duties: Laborers needed for snow removal season. Must be available on call for snow removal at commercial and residential property locations. Laborers will use a shovel and snowblower, and ice melt spreader. Shifts will depend on the time and amount of the snowfall. Lift up to 50 lbs. Other duties as needed: leaf removal, load/unload materials for grounds maintenance, de-icing, removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots. Laborers may drive vehicle. This position is for 40 hours per week, Monday Friday, however may vary days or times to accommodate inclement weather.
Requirements: Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate of pay is \$26.58-\$30 per hour. Laborers must have driving license class C to drive trucks between the worksites to bring maintenance materials within Rock Island County, Illinois, and Scott County, Iowa. No prior education or experience required.
Terms and Conditions of Employment: \$17.72/hr-\$20/hr, Monday-Friday depending on weather conditions, overtime \$26.58/hr-\$30/hr as needed and a must be available weekends. Workers needed to begin work 11/09/2024-03/31/2025. Work will be done in multiple worksites in Rock Island County, Illinois, and Scott County, Iowa.
Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised. The wage rate may vary on experience and/or merit. \$26.58/hr-\$30/hr for overtime. Overtime may be available but not guaranteed.
Transportation: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S.
or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$15.88/day during travel to a maximum of \$59/day day with receipts.
Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Tools, equipment & supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay by-weekly by check. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law. The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker.
