Today, our diverse, global workforce brings innovation, performance, and reliability to every interaction - empowering our customers to create physical products at a digital pace. 3D Systems’ solutions address a variety of advanced applications in healthcare and industrial markets such as medical and dental, aerospace & defense, automotive, and durable goods. * ABOUT THE ROLE: * Execution of efficient and sound purchasing process in the Indirect Commodity segment, including but not limited to Supply Chain, MRO, Facilities, Legal, Finance, IT, R&D, Marketing, Outsourced Labor etc. Support of RFP/RFQ process, supplier selection, purchasing activities & supplier performance; supporting both cost reduction and cash flow optimization. Responsible for the accuracy and quality of data for both analytics & reporting. Position reports directly to the Director of Indirect Procurement. Day-to-Day support and guidance will be provided by the Indirect Commodity Manager and/ or the Indirect Procurement Director. WHAT YOU’LL DO: * * Preparation of RFP/RFQ’s for all segments, negotiation and re-negotiation of price quotes. Initiates, negotiates and maintains contracts in collaboration with key stakeholders and in-house legal counsel. Work closely with Indirect Commodity Manager in the execution of contracts and roll-out of all new programs.* * Participates in supplier selection, as well as manages current vendor base by analyzing on-going vendor performance. Recommends changes as appropriate. Investigates and reports on potential new technologies and markets to support long-term business goals. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Cross-Functional Teams to support continuous improvement projects & new programs to ensure Corporate and team goals are met. * Connect and work with global commodity teams/initiatives to drive maximum leverage within the company * Compliance: Complies with all 3D Systems Purchasing policies and procedures. Ensures strict compliance with 3D Systems Quality standards * Purchase Order Processing – Place purchase orders and release shipments against purchase orders as required to meet the requirements of internal stakeholders. * Invoice Hold Resolution – works closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice holds and support on-time payment to suppliers. * Supply Management – Develop working relationship with Suppliers. Establish lines of communication with suppliers to ensure proactive notification of any exception status. * Strategic Initiatives and Projects – May be asked to initiate or participate on strategic projects. * Ensure meeting or exceeding KPI’s related to buyer performance – Cost Savings / Avoidance, Internal Stakeholder engagement, PO execution * Performs other duties as needed and assigned (e.g. Benchmarking, Improvement Projects) o Supports internal compliance with Procurement Strategies & Policies through analytics, reporting and direct user interfaces o Work in conjunction with the Indirect Commodity Manager to define strategies & execution plans for spend categories within direct responsibility o Interpret Issues and make recommendations to improve operating efficiencies within the position and adherence to Procurement Strategies * * * *WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Qualifications EDUCATION AND TRAINING * Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain (preferred), Operations Management, Engineering, General Business, Accounting, or Finance. * Advanced degree in General Business a plus. * APICS and or ISM Certification a plus.* *EXPERIENCE * 5 years of experience or more in tactical procurement with an OEM or contract manufacturer. * Specific Indirect Procurement experience preferred * Domestic and International Supplier negotiations a plus * Significant ERP system skills required, preferably Oracle KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Strong, concise communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to influence / persuade while working across various levels of the organization; interpersonal skills required. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and work in Cross-Functional teams * Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment * Must be detail oriented, organized and possess good problem-solving & analytical skills * Experience with Microsoft Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint expertise required; advanced skills preferred. * Strong negotiation and analytical skills required WHY 3D SYSTEMS? * *Make a meaningful difference * *Founded in 1986, we are the original pioneers of 3D printing.
