Job Description:

Performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for the diagnosis of breast disease . Assists in all interventional procedures using breast ultrasound. Provides a written sonographer impression for all exams and documents accurately and completely in MagView

Salary Range:

$42.00 an hour

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent with at least an associate degree or certificate in sonography. Must complete an approved training program in sonography to be registry eligible. Must pass registry exam to become a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS).

Experience: 1 year clinical rotation or equivalent work experience in sonography preferred

License/Certification Required: RDMS eligible. Pass registry exam to be RDMS within 1 year of hire date. Remain current with CME’s required to keep registered status.

Skills: Obtain quality diagnostic breast ultrasound images. Computer skills essential. Advanced skills preferred (i.e. MagView, eview, erecord).
