The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Performs accounting duties of a complex nature requiring advanced professional experience, knowledge and competency in accounting principles and practices for a non-centralized department. Works with broad discretion as to work details on assignments of a varied, diverse and difficult nature. Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, General Accounting and the like. Prepares specialized reports and analyses. Submits recommendations for improved operations. Develops and installs difficult accounting systems, methods, procedures, and controls. Balances complex accounts; prepares complex federal, local or state reports. Provides interpretation of accounts, methods and records for managers and officers. Provides work leadership to lower level accounting personnel on complex assignments, projects or tasks. May review their progress and work for adequacy, method of procedure.

Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Designs, collects, develops, and enhances current financial data in management systems to provide financial planning and analysis support to Flaum Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology. Maintains responsibility for assigned areas of financial management such as internal financial reporting and financial metric dashboards. This position will collect and organize actionable data, creating dashboards and reports; providing individual faculty, chiefs of service, and department leadership with tools to measure and set goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs and develops detail reporting parameters to assure timely and accurate generation of reports to guide senior management. Develops and maintains detailed analyses of various statistical and financial information to be used for financial reporting.
Responsible for the development and the maintenance of monthly departmental reports and dashboards that encompasses numerous data sources and multiple variable statistics for all of the Flaum Eye Institute.
Analyzes and interprets highly complex data, statistics, and financial information. Researches and reports on factors influencing business performance of both revenues and expenses.
Applies knowledge of data and financial drivers in the forecasting, trending, and budgeting of operating accounts.
Performs analyses and tests to ascertain the integrity of accounting data. Makes analyses of ledger accounts in order to confirm the completeness and accuracy of data. Uses judgment as to whether account balances are reasonable.
Maintains an in-depth awareness of financial accounting and reporting, analysis, decision support and reimbursement trends.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent and 5 years of professional accounting experience required.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
