Job Description:

The L3Harris Communication Systems (CS) segment Tactical Communications sector (TCOM) is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented professional to join our Software Design Verification, Communications Planning Application (CPA) team. This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing system-level qualification testing of CPA products and their associated accessories. This role will report directly to a Software Engineering Manager and is responsible for successfully qualifying and ensuring that radio products are released with high quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Authoring and execution of manual test plans for multiple products

  • System-level qualification testing of CPA products and their associated accessories

  • Ability to problem solve drawing from prior experiences and analysis of issues

  • Capable of Integrating and working with multiple applications

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication

  • Recognize, triage and document test Failure precisely and efficiently.

  • Assisting developers in defect replication

  • Creation and maintenance of software release configuration management documents in a process-oriented environment

    In addition, the position requires establishing close working relationships with development engineers to suggest and support Trouble Report (TR) resolutions. Qualified candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communications, be a self-starter and demonstrate leadership capabilities.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Windows OS and applications

  • Experience working L3 HARRIS Communications Planning application

  • Proficient in Jira and DOORS software applications

  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process

  • Experience working with L3 HARRIS radios

  • Experience using networking software

  • Test background and the ability to employ consistent testing procedures on different products and test systems

  • Must demonstrate the ability to make solid technical contributions on a team serving multiple groups within the Division, often subject to changing priorities.

  • Proficient in TCP/IP network routing

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $61,000 - $114,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
