WSP USA Senior Project Manager- Substations & Transmission Lines in Rochester, New York
This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Manager– Substations & Transmission Lines to support our Buffalo, NY office and to be involved in projects with our Energy Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
Initiation, Planning, Monitoring, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget
Effective leadership in a matrix organization
Managing Teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0
Management of third-party projects including other transmission owners and interconnecting customers
Accountable and Responsible for:
Cost /Budgeting and Management
Communication Management
Change Management
Schedule Management
Construction Management Oversight
Commissioning Management Oversight
Risk Management
Regulatory and Stakeholder Management
Some regional travel is anticipated
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Able to work in a self-directed environment
7+ years of experience in Project Management with 3 years of large-scale utility project management experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Competence in analytical techniques in tackling technical problems with some complexity
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Project Management Professional certification is strongly preferred.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $115,000 - $154,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
