PLTI Site Coordinator

Greater Rochester Parent Leadership Training Institute

Rochester, NY

PART-TIME; Nonexempt, 16-18 hours/week

Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) (https://ccsi.org/) is currently seeking a talented and motivatedSite Coordinatorto join their team. Part of the National Parent Leadership Institute (NPLI), an evidence-based national program that acknowledges the critical role of parent leadership, PLTI differentiates itself by embracing a cross-race, cross-class, and parent-informed, pro-social educational approach. CCSI is contracted by The Greater Rochester Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) to provide capacity building services, including specialized staffing. ThePLTI Site Coordinatoris assigned to work on behalf of CCSI’s customer and will support the Greater Rochester PLTI with the successful implementation of the PLTI model. TheSite Coordinatorsupports the 10 month (Mid-October to Mid-May) logistical and programmatic activities to implement the 21-week Cohort model.

As aPLTI Site Coordinator,you would be employed by Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) and would collaborate with theParent Leadership Training Instituteto deliver important programs and services to theParent Leadership Training Institute.

In your role as a PLTI Site Coordinator, you will

  • Provide onsite support for the Saturday retreat, all 21 Monday night sessions (Mondays 4:00-9:00pm) and graduation

  • Ensure all site logistics for the class, site and food are in place before the start of each session on Monday night in coordination with the Director

  • Be prepared and in place to welcome participants promptly at 4:00pm each Monday.

  • Attend 1 hour weekly meeting of PLTI Facilitators to prepare for upcoming class

  • Attend all national and PLTI related trainings and meetings as required by the Director

  • Class Prep: Coordinate the preparation of class materials and update PowerPoint slides for weekly classes as necessary and have ready at the site

  • Evaluations: Distribute and collect evaluation forms at each class.

  • Food & Supplies: organize the ordering for food and supplies for the retreat, 21-week sessions and graduation

  • Communicate with parent leaders and staff about the focus of next class, dinner details and any additional information

  • Communicate with PLTI staff and leaders regarding program participant updates

  • Coordinate with Director to invite guest speakers for classes, assure appropriate follow-up, including thank you notes

  • Community Project Support: Act as a liaison between the class participants, the site and the community, as needed, in partnership with the Director

  • Support the Director with the Coordination and logistics of PLTI graduation.

  • Picture-taking: Take pictures during the cohort sessions and send pictures of cohort to Director on a weekly basis to support social media posting and other communication and marketing

  • Communicate with Director about any facilities/space issues, concerns or challenges

  • Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of facilitator and participant attendance, participant deliverables, etc.

  • Expense Tracking: Keep track of all receipts for cohort expenses and submit receipts for expenses to PLTI Director

  • Weekly meeting with Director to coordinate planning, budget and overall progress monitoring

  • Conduct other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree preferred. High School Diploma or GED required and 3-5 years experience in a role organizing and coordinating activities or events as work experience, or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart (https://www.ccsi.org/CCSI/media/pdfs/Equivalency-chart.pdf) )

Additional Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings.

  • Valid Class D New York State Driver License and access to motor vehicle to meet transportation requirements of position.

  • Attend a 1 week national training, travel required
