As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants ofRochester, NY (http://www.city-data.com/city/Rochester-New-York.html) and in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Jordan Health is now seeking aPharmacy Technicianwho, under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy, is primarily responsible for working as a member of the pharmacy team. This position requires experience, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work competently in a busy environment to ensure that the pharmacy runs smoothly.

Requirements

ThePharmacy Technicianwill ensure to:

· Provide exceptional customer service.

· Assist the Jordan Health Pharmacy team.

· Be in full compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Education And Experience Required:

· High School diploma or general education degree (GED) certificate required.

· Bilingual (Spanish) desired.

· Completion of 1-2 years of pharmacy experience preferred.

· Minimum of 1-2 years of 340B pharmacy experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

· Must be nationally certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) upon hire or within one year from the date of hire.

· Current BLS/CPR Certificate through the American Heart Association

· Infection Control Certificate.

Special Skills and Knowledge Required:

· Ability to enter data into a computer to maintain records.

· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

· Knowledge of basic pharmaceutical calculations.

· Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement.

· Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology.

· Experience with an online prescription software is a plus.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time.

· Ability to respond promptly to internal and external patient needs while maintaining confidentiality per HIPPA regulations.

· Good attention to detail and thorough in completing work task.

· Adaptability and flexibility in the workplace and being open to change.

· Possess a valid license to operate vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.
