University of Rochester Perioperative Services - Operating Room (OR) Nurse Residency Program - Registered Nurse 1 Inpatient in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

In providing foundational perioperative education, and skill building, the OR nurse residency program is designed to assist the novice registered nurse successfully transition to competent operating room nurse. Candidates should be enthusiastic, and self-motivated learners interested in becoming an integral member of a multi-disciplinary surgical team. Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills, flexibility, a capacity to organize and prioritize are a must. Implementing safe patient-family centered care to the surgical patient is exciting, challenging, and highly technical, experiencing the nursing process one patient at a time.

Qualifications

Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have less than 6-12 months of RN experience.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $36.00 - $46.80

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
