$220,000 to $275,000 a year
Description
The Department of Medicine at Highland Hospital is seeking an academic primary care physician to join our varied and multidisciplinary group of outpatient providers. Our practice is a collaborative group of general internist, geriatricians, and other subspecialties. We are seeking a geriatrician or internest and would be able to tailor the patient population based on the applicatn's expertise.
The faculty physician will provide outpatient primary care to a panel of patients, and participate in residents and fellow supervision, education, and evaluation. There are options to admit, consult and follow patients admitted to the hospital, but this is based on the faculty preference and not required.
This position affords a rare opportunity to practice primary care medicine, participate in education and interact with a broad variety of subspecialties and ancillary support staff.
Qualifications
M.D. Degree or equivalent
Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Must meet all credentialing requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and/or Geriatrics
Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
