Job Description Summary
The assistant softball coach will assist the head coach with a variety of duties. These include, but are not limited to, the recruitment and retention of the appropriate student-athlete, scouting, team practices, game-day preparation, enforcing team & school policies. The softball program shall operate according to all NCAA Division III , Empire Eight Conference and Nazareth University rules and regulations.
Essential Functions
Assist the head coach in all aspects of management of the team including but not limited to practice planning, recruiting, fundraising, alumni arrangements, travel planning.
Required Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree
Prior Coaching or Playing Experience
Preferred Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills
Master’s Degree
5+ years of coaching or playing experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
Physical Requirements
Standing, active movement, occasional lifting, anything associated with the sport itself
Equipment to be used
University vehicles
Equipment associated with the respective sport
