University of Rochester Nursing Informatics ¿ Assistant Chief Nursing Information Officer in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

The Assistant Chief Nursing Information Officer (ACNIO) will lead and be responsible for enterprise planning and implementation of information technology and systems and facilitate the enterprise URMC strategic plan. The ACNIO will act as principal assistant to the CNIO supporting clinical and administrative systems across the enterprise. He/she will provide leadership and vision as URMC embarks on a significant clinical transformation and implementation. Requires: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing. A master's degree from an NLN accredited School of Nursing or accredited School of Public Health, in nursing informatics or another related field required. Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in New York State. Five or more years’ experience in an academic medical center or tertiary setting. A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in informatics/IT/nursing operations, with progressive leadership responsibilities in a complex, multi-specialty healthcare environment preferred. Experience in informatics, enterprise health records, clinical systems implementation, process and workflow re-design and change management with introduction of technology tools to the clinical culture; familiarity with products and medical informatics trends and tools. Solid practical experience to design and implement systems within the framework of technical boundaries. Practical experience with electronic health information systems including configuration, implementation, support and optimization in an ambulatory or hospital setting. Experience with Epic Systems electronic health record preferred. Experience leading teams, particularly collaborative work with providers and nurses.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $62.26 - $93.41

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
