Job Title: Bridgeport Machinist/Apprentice
Job Description
Local manufacturing facility is in search of a machinist or apprentice to join their fabrication and machine building team. As a Bridgeport machinist or apprentice, your primary responsibilities will include operating a Bridgeport mill and other toolroom equipment such as grinders, drill presses, etc. You will also be performing set ups and operating CNC machines, reading off a set of blueprints/schematics, and doing light troubleshooting of machinery.
Skill Requirements
Experience operating a Bridgeport mill
Ability to operate other manual and CNC machining equipment
Learn to perform machine set-ups
Blueprint reading
Trade school certification will count towards experience
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday - Friday
First Shift
Will be working in a fabrication shop environment with machine builders, electricians, and other machinists
Apprentices will be able to attend educational courses and programs sponsored and paid for by the company
Pay raises to come following training
