The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for home medical infusion/supply coordination and basic in home patient education for patients in Monroe and surrounding counties. The Homecare Pharmacy Services Associate is expected to contribute to the preparation of orders and provide delivery of home infusion orders or prescriptions, and HME/DME items. Responsibilities will include setup and troubleshooting, maintenance and quality assurance of infusion pumps and equipment and other tasks as assigned that are related to the home infusion and HME/DME programs.Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for home medical infusion/supply coordination and basic in home patient education for patients in Monroe and surrounding counties. SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED: None MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED: PC based computer system; Testing devices TYPICAL DUTIES: - Assembles and packages completed home infusion orders - Orders and maintains inventory of supplies, packaging materials and equipment; rotates supplies to assure adherence with expiration dates - Delivers home infusion orders, DME/HME, or other items directly to patient's homes or other alternative treatment locations and assures completion and signature of documentation by patient/caregiver relative to regulatory and pay requirements - Educates patients on DME/HME equipment - Troubleshoots problems with DME/HME equipment - Tests infusion pumps; runs diagnostics to ensure equipment is suitable to go back into service - Maintains all relevant QA documentation relative to home infusion and HME/DME equipment - Coordinate and follow up on product returns - Mail/Deposits/other errands upon request - Provide on-call, after hours support as scheduled - Participate in physical inventory counts QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; valid state driver's license with clean driving record, knowledge of local roadways in the service area, ability to use technology for wayfinding, ability to perform physical labor including lifting of containers and boxes, high level of customer service skills, ability to meet and interact with patients, caregivers and facility personnel The University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion to advance the University's mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create - and Make the World Ever Better.
