Material Cutter / Equipment Operator

Job Summary Responsible for accurately converting board, paper products and other materials to specified sizes using Die Cutter, Polar Board Cutting Machine, Esko Artios CAD Cutter. Train others to use the above equipment. Cut board and paper to size for warehouse and manufacturing. Full time position; 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Job Accountabilities Review production plans with Supervisor/Team Leader/Operation Manager each day. Complete work in a timely and prioritized manner. Prepare workstation to best utilize time and resources for efficient production of finished, packaged materials. Includes keeping walkways paths clean and clear. Responsible for accurate inventory control of board and paper products. Notify the Warehouse Supervisor when stock is getting low so material can be ordered in a timely manner. Routine maintenance to be performed on equipment. Report any repairs needed to Warehouse Supervisor. Work with management to develop operating, maintenance, and training manuals. Complete tasks and projects as determined by Warehouse Supervisor/Operations Manager. Operate additional equipment as needed. Package orders for shipment when needed.

Job Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of machine operation experience required. Die Cutter and/or CAD Cutter experience preferred. High School Diploma or GED.

Skills Computer Skills: basic computer skills, machine operating and troubleshooting experience. Other Skills: Oral communication, math aptitude, reading, visual organization, written communication, organization, and professionalism. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
