The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for nursing care under the supervision of physicians and/or Registered Nurse (RN) and within the appropriate scope of practice. Performs the functions associated with the clinical aspect of a patient visit in Primary Care. Maintains Responsibility for direct patient care, documentation, administration of medications and injections, minor laboratory testing, and communication with patients, health care providers, insurers, pharmacies and fellow staff. Occasional evening and weekend work is possible.Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB REQUIREMENTS: UR Medicine Primary Care is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for its Westside locations. Current openings are based in our practices throughout Gates and Greece, NY, and offer a Full-Time schedule of 40 hours per week. UR Medicine Primary Care has a simple mission: To help our patients enjoy the very best health. UR Medicine Primary Care is part of the University of Rochester Medical Center, as its network of doctors specializing in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine. What does a Primary Care LPN do? The Primary Care LPN supports patient care in the office, assisting with administering medications and injections, minor point-of-care testing, and may relay information to insurers and pharmacies on behalf of providers. LPN's also spend their time updating patient charts by documenting patient responses, the medications prescribed during the visit, and updating testing results in the EMR. Their work is focused on customer service, teamwork and accuracy. For those interested in becoming a Primary Care LPN, it requires certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State and 6 months of experience. CPR and AED certification is also required upon hire.
