CACI's Mastodon Design is looking to hire a Lead Systems Engineer in Rochester, NY. This organization specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build.

Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems.

We are currently seeking a systems engineer to lead our systems engineering department. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of development experience.

Successful candidates will need extensive experience in the following areas:

  • Provide guidance and professional development support to a team of system engineers

  • Work collaboratively across the engineering organization to track and manage system requirements for end systems

  • Analyze system requirements from end systems and users

  • Develop test plans and procedures

  • Conduct tests and document results

  • Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations / use cases for Mastodon equipment

  • Create Basis of Estimates for outgoing proposals

  • Provide technical support for application notes

  • Conduct vehicle site surveys and associated vehicle integration designs for Mastodon equipment

  • Procure and validate 3rd party OEM products

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience or an equivalent combination of skills, education and experience.

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering team

  • Experience working with Product Line Management to add 3rd party OEM products to accessory catalog

  • Experience in new business development including creating BoEs and technical write-ups

  • Experience interacting with customers, development teams, and program managers

  • There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment you will be required to obtain Secret clearance.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Visio

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$89,500-$188,000
