The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Provides support to the routine operations of the retail and back-office functions of the University of Rochester technology store. Prepares routine reports and inventory databases, leverages existing agreements with distributors/vendors in the store's supply chain to order products and deals with customer problems and complaints. Tracks receipt of orders and coordinates timely deliveries.Schedule 8 AM-5 PM Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Provides support to the routine operations of the retail and back-office functions of the University of Rochester technology store. Prepares routine reports and inventory databases, leverages existing agreements with distributors/vendors in the store's supply chain to order products and deals with customer problems and complaints. Tracks receipt of orders and coordinates timely deliveries. TYPICAL DUTIES: - Coordinates delivery for all technology store purchases. Develops schedules for deliveries based on anticipated product arrival from distributors. Manages delivery issues, monitors the receipt of product and reports issues to management. - Provides customer service and transacts in retail and/or warehouse locations. Sells and promotes business products through demonstrations of computer equipment, accessories, etc. Demonstrates or describes how products or service work. Promotes products with in-store demonstrations. - Provides back-office support for technology store operations. Works with IT merchandising team to make decisions regarding product range and selection. - Reviews, sets and maintains appropriate stock levels for retail and/or warehouse locations. - Monitors open orders and follows up with customers and vendors as needed. Ensures product arrival meets timeliness and acts on alternatives where delays cannot be avoided. - Monitors point-of-sale and inventory databases. Maintains current status of stock availability. Places and tracks orders for technology products and returns merchandise as needed. - Generates routine purchase orders and reviews them for accuracy. Places supply orders with distributors or directly with vendors. - Generates customer quotes and or project proposals. - Resolves day to day operational situations, customer complaints and problems.
