As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Jordan Health is now seeking aHealth Information Management (HIM) Specialistwho, under the guidance of the Director of Health Information Management and Privacy Officer, is primarily responsible for updating and organizing protected patient related health information (PHI). To research and review data, in both hardcopy and electronic format, for accuracy and compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
TheHIM Specialistwill ensure that:
· Jordan health maintains complete and accurate patient records in the Jordan Health electronic medical records system.
· Jordan Health clinical teams are empowered to provide appropriate patient care.
· Jordan Health is in full compliance with applicable federal and state privacy laws when responding to request for patient information.
· Jordan Health medical records team is responsive to patient request for assistance.
Education And Experience Required:
· High School education.
· Medical terminology.
· RHIT/Medical Office Assisting Certification preferred.
Licenses And Certifications Required:
· None
Special Skills, Knowledge Required:
· Computer knowledge.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Ability to balance competing priorities.
