Position Objective

Participate fully in development activities on key D&R projects in the Development Process Engineering Labs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts technical activities in support of development programs.

  • Perform controlled and documented experiments, qualifications and equipment support in a research/development environment.

  • Set up, operate and maintain manual, semi-automatic and fully automated research equipment, fixtures, and gauges.

  • Assist engineers in the processing of studies and validation of equipment or processes. Record and analyze test data, maintain logbooks and generate reports.

  • Be a flexible participant in cross functional teams, be able to multitask and set priorities.

  • Train others as required.

  • Follow procedures, SOP’s, cGMP’s, PM’s and specifications; participate in reviews as required.

  • Assure lab readiness, supplies, calibrations, and continuous improvements.

  • Participate in lean practices within the labs.

Requirements

  • 2 year associate's degree with technical experience, or HS Diploma with technical experience in a research lab or regulated manufacturing environment.

  • 3-8 years technical experience; medical device and/or clean room environment required.

  • Special Skills: Experience with a ISO, GMP, FDA regulated environment. Knowledge of computers/PLC’s/shop floor control systems and database usage. Ability to handle multiple tasks, follow priorities, excellent communication and documentation skills. Technical writing skills a plus.

As required by New York State's pay transparency bill, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York State. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For New York State, the range of starting hourly pay for this role is $21.00 to $26.00 per hour.
