As a Renal Dietitian, you will design and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy and collaborate with other disciplines to optimize nutrition care for patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESRD) receiving in-center hemodialysis and outpatient peritoneal or home hemodialysis. Your contribution is essential in helping patients with ESRD acclimate to lifestyle factors and overcome potential barriers associated with eating well while receiving hemodialysis.
STATUS: Part Time (24 hours/week)
LOCATION: Park Ridge Dialysis Center

ATTRIBUTES
- 1 year of clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian required
- Bachelor's Degree from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) accredited program required
- Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
- Assessment. Assess nutrition-related needs and goals of patients receiving dialysis using effective communication and listening
skills; collaborate with nephrologists during monthly rounds for assigned in-center hemodialysis patients and monthly clinic
visits for peritoneal and home hemodialysis patients; monitor and document patient progress using electronic medical record.
- Nutritional Therapy Planning. Provide renal diet education tailored to patients' unique lifestyles and based on patients' renal
chemistry results. Develop interventions for patients with abnormal lab results using Bone Disease Protocol and clinical
judgement. Create nutrition education materials on renal diet guidelines for patients. Communicate with patients, family, team
members, and dietitians outside facility on appropriate plans of action to ensure optimal nutrition status.
- Patient Care. Develop plan of care per clinical data, interview, diagnosis and treatment goals. Counsel patients and family
members on ways to achieve and maintain nutritious diets while following renal diet recommendations
- BS: Dietetics (Required)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
