University of Rochester 31400/31600 Labor and Delivery - Nurse Manager, Inpt in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Seeking an individual who demonstrates leadership quality, clinical expertise, management skill and a desire to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This individual is accountable for nursing budget, staff development, quality of care and managing practice changes both on the labor deck, in designated operating rooms and the OB Emergency Department. Must be flexible and adapt readily to changing census, acuity, responsibilities and care delivery models. Seeking a motivated individual with strong communication skills. Individual must have the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans for high-risk antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients. BS degree in nursing required, MS degree preferred required within 5 years, 3-5 years of RN experience required, management experience preferred.

Qualifications

Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $47.89 - $67.05

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
