Responsibilities

Department of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine (DPAM)
The Operations Manager partners closely with pediatric practice leadership and division chairs in managing day to day operations and pursuing division/department specific initiatives. They are responsible for monitoring metrics (access, financial, etc.), collaborating with colleagues and leadership, leading projects, resolving issues and may supervise allied health staff.
Department of Medicine: Division of Nephrology and Hypertension
The Operations Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team and has operational responsibility for a diverse clinical practice. Practice settings include outpatient clinics, five inpatient services, home dialysis, inpatient dialysis and fourteen outpatient dialysis units throughout the Midwest. The OM will partner closely with physician, administrative and allied health leaders to grow and develop the practice in alignment with divisional, departmental, and institutional strategic goals. The OM will have the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team and implement efforts related to: practice transformation, automation, quality improvement and operational excellence.
Practice Operations
The Operations manager for Practice Operations will support the modernization and transformation of the patient and staff experience for Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Initial responsibilities include patient and staff arrival, departure, parking and transportation operations, valet services, and Mayo Clinic access card services. This critical role will work closely with Facilities, Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester and other stakeholder groups to improve the experience for patients, visitors, and staff using advanced solutions and technologies. The position requires creative problem-solving, a passion for service, a commitment to continuous innovation, and excellent communication skills.
Bold.Forward.Unbound
The Operations Manager in Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester (BFUiR) plays a key role in leading teams, driving operational and project excellence. This role involves close collaboration with key physician, allied health, and administrative leaders to influence and facilitate future space design and operations. Key responsibilities will include guiding Support Services departments through Schematic Design, partnership with Facilities Project Services, and coordination with other BFUiR teams and stakeholder groups. This role will also supervise allied health staff, provide direction for activation activities, and help lead automation strategies for new built space.
Employee Occupational Health Services
The Operations Manager plays a key role in the successful and efficient delivery of Occupational Health Services to Rochester’s 40,000 employees. The OHS OM is a key leader in multiple OHS programs, including (but not limited to): the annual employee vaccination program, Pre-employment Occupational Placement Assessments (POPAs), drug and alcohol screens, employee appointment scheduling, trouble-shooting, reporting management, and administrative processes. The OM also coordinates with OHS site leaders from across the enterprise to support consistency of service offerings and processes and supervises the data services and administrative support teams.
Division of Medical Oncology:
The Operations Manager in the Division of Medical Oncology will support both the outpatient and inpatient practices within the division. This role involves close collaboration with physician, administrative, and allied health leaders to oversee daily practice operations. Key responsibilities include leading practice improvement initiatives, supporting our 12 tumor groups and two hospital services, and partnering with our other OM to ensure smooth transitions of care into and out of our Chemotherapy Treatment Unit. The Operations Manager will be a key member of our leadership team serving on our Executive and Clinical Practice Committees. Administrative duties include leading multi-disciplinary teams to execute strategic priorities and quality improvement initiatives, fostering staff development, managing change, and ensuring operational efficiency and clinical excellence within the division.
Language Services
Provides in-person and virtual interpreting resources supporting over 200 different languages. The department is composed of 75 staff who provide Interpreting support for patients and the care teams across all spectrums of care including inpatient, outpatient, primary care and ED. The OM position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and works closely with the Medical Director and OA in setting and driving the strategic direction. This position works closely with International and Diversity leaders to further support Mayo’s diverse patient population and strategies and is also engaged with Bold.Forward.Unbound in Rochester.
Department of Radiology: Nuclear Medicine and Breast Imaging
The Operations Manager provides support for day-to-day operations of the Nuclear Medicine and Breast Imaging clinical practice. The OM is a key member of the practice leadership team, partnering closely with physician, allied health, and administrative leaders to ensure success of the practice. The position is responsible for Rochester operations with limited enterprise engagement.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is and 2 years healthcare management experience is required.
A Bachelor's degree with a combination of directly-related experience and education may be considered.
Prefer Master's degree in Business or Healthcare field.
Strong leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines, i.e., physician, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff.
Must have excellent communication, organizational and human relation skills. Requires excellent decision-making and judgment capabilities. Must have broad based knowledge of office support and computer systems along with spreadsheets, databases, statistics, software knowledge and installation, and accounting practices for budgetary responsibilities.
Clinical degree and licensure if applicable.
