This position is responsible for planning, managing and successful execution of in-person and virtual events that deepen the engagement and philanthropic commitment of the Oakland University community. The Event Manager will serve on the University Advancement Events team to deliver high quality events. This position will serve as the project lead for an assigned portfolio of events and is responsible for the tasks, timeline and budget for each function. Must interact with a variety of University Advancement team members to ensure the vision and purpose of the event is fulfilled, meeting OU's quality standards and protocol, within established time and budgetary constraints. Must be able to multitask and prioritize many competing deadlines. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage the expectations with various, and sometimes competing, interests is essential. Must possess attention to detail and the ability to incorporate special touches that elevate the overall feel of advancement events.
