KOCH Finishing Systems is hiring two (2) Sales Account Managers to sell turnkey automated finishing plating and anodizing systems providing the best possible solution to our customers. These individuals will be responsible for driving growth across the North America region, developing new opportunities in target market sectors, and meeting annual booking target for KOCH Finishing Systems and our brands (Jessup Systems, PriceWalgren, and George Koch Sons). * Assess customer needs, clearly identifying bottlenecks in current processing systems, current and future production demands to accurate scope potential system solutions * Follow-up and coordinate field activities during the sales process. * Maintain positive customer rapport exemplifying KOCH's core values. Address customer questions and concerns expeditiously and professionally. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts. * Work cooperatively with estimating, purchasing, project managers, and engineering teams to capture opportunities and identify solutions to customers restraints. Responsible for timely, accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as weekly reports, forecasts, CRM updates, and expense reports * Cost-effectively manage travel by planning in advance, adhering to company travel guidelines, and using sound business judgment. * Develop, initiate, and execute effective sales penetration plans for assigned accounts and market sectors. * Travel to customer's site to promote the capabilities of company; work with customer to determine initial concepts and feasibility of potential automated systems and/or rework projects. * Work with in-house estimating (and technical staff) to assist in preparing proposals, estimates, and operational specifications and to maintain a high degree of satisfaction for customers. * Participate in contract negotiation including technical specification, financial terms, and delivery. WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering degree preferred) and/or business management, sales, marketing, or related field. * 5+ years of successful and verifiable experience of strategic selling and negotiation skills in "solution and systems sales" of capital equipment or industrial automation in the target markets. Specific Skills/Knowledge: * Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of plating and anodizing processing preferred. * Demonstrated account management skills. * Strong selling, communication, organization, and negotiation skills. * Proven customer service practices that have resulted in building long-term relationships and repeat business. * Highly motivated and self-directed who functions well in a results-oriented and dynamic environment. * Highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a team environment. * Must have good computer skills with all Microsoft Office Suite products. * Ideal candidates must be able to report to our office in Grand Rapids or Rochester Hills, MI. Remote candidates may be considered but must reside near a major airport.
