Job Description:

Serve as a leader and UDAAP compliance subject matter expert (SME) to advise and report to leadership on UDAAP risk and mitigation for our customers and company. SMEs in this role will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading UDAAP program enhancements including risk assessment, and for providing thought leadership, oversight, and training on UDAAP governance and program elements.

Ideal candidates should have experience identifying UDAAP risk in advertising and consumer-facing communications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic enterprise-wide initiatives, defining top priorities to improve and enhance the program. Consult with business partner on strategy development.

  • Lead and manage cross functional work groups and workstreams from multiple first line and second line business units. Work with all levels of management.

  • Manage, create, develop all aspects of project plans and project/program management including but not limited to tracking all aspects of initiatives, status reporting, communications, initiatives, issues, and achievements for a variety of audiences.

  • Address regulatory findings as well as emerging issues.

  • Lead development of reporting infrastructure that would allow for system automation and information accuracy improvements.

  • Work with business and other departments such as Compliance to define trends, opportunities, root causes and enhancements. Assist with tracking and monitoring progress of enhancements.

  • Schedule periodic brainstorming and strategy sessions and debrief sessions with business partners to discuss future visions and program enhancements as well as identify issues and opportunities.

  • Manage project testing efforts in the creation of plans to test business and functional processes during systems development and testing. Maintain alignment of delivery success criteria with business partners

  • Deliver requests and projects within committed schedule and quality for individual projects while also meeting overall performance goals. Identify needs, securing commitments and monitoring progress of deliverables from internal and external service provider teams.

  • Develop and build process/responsibilities into a sustainable process and business as usual environment and one that supports continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration management or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Project management, or related.

  • In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in Compliance, Project management, or related.

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

  • Experience designing and / or executing risk assessments, particularly UDAAP risk assessments.

  • Experience managing compliance with UDAAP-related regulations, such as the Dodd Frank Act, FTC Act, and state UDAAP/UDAP laws.

  • Experience working for or with regulators in the consumer financial services industry.

  • Experience leading teams.

  • Experience building out new programs.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
