Job Description:

The Credit Card Portfolio Marketing department focuses on customer life cycle management and delivering award-winning customer experiences to drive financial results. The Re-engage My Card team strives to provide personalized experiences, offers, and services to help customers save on interest, earn high value rewards, and develop trust, loyalty and sustained relationship with Discover.

The Principal Portfolio Management role will be responsible for partnering with internal and external business partners to implement marketing campaigns and strategies for expanded audience reach opportunities across on-us and off-us channels. They will coordinate all aspects of end-to-end campaign management from performance, creative development & campaign execution to ensure successful launches and actively manage risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. This individual will be passionate about teamwork and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops, or evaluates marketing strategies, based on knowledge of objectives, market characteristics, customer needs, historical results, and channel-specific expertise.

  • Formulates, directs, or coordinates marketing activities or policies to promote products or services, working with agencies (internal and external) and cross-functional partners.

  • Acts as a coach and mentor to junior team members and business partners, helping to develop new talent and share subject matter expertise.

  • Timely and accurate completion, maintenance, and communication of assigned Business Risk review (including monitors and audits).

  • Establishes, and adheres to, strong controls to ensure accuracy and strategy deployment.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in Marketing, Business, Partnership Mgmt, Brand Mgmt, consumer packaged goods, creative agency, or related field

  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Campaign Management, strategy development, digital marketing, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • 6+ years of experience in Marketing, Business, Partnership Management, Brand Management, consumer packaged goods, creative agency, or related field

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
