Luxfer Superform operates from Riverside, California. We specialize in Superforming of Aluminum, Titanium, and Magnesium alloys as a 1st Tier supplier to major OEM’s. Established in 1974 Superform serves customers in all the major markets including Aerospace. A Manufacturing Team Member supports production by working on a variety of pieces of equipment including but not limited to, surface finishing, trimming, assembly, correction, touch-up polish, touch-up paint, and inspection. Utilizing a variety of inspection equipment including, but not limited to; height gauges, ball-micrometer, calipers, go/no go gauges, ultrasound, countersink gauges, micrometer and tong caliper verifying work meets customer requirements. This position also performs Shipping & Receiving tasks ensuring positive and timely customer service. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare material for welding, including cleaning, sanding, and applying finishes as required.

  • Identify and repair any imperfections on the material (parts) prior to any outside process. 

  • Grind, sand, trim, deburr, and polish materials according to specifications. 

  • Utilize a variety of hand and stationary tools to hand-finish precision-formed aluminum components. Tools include a buffing wheel, airbrush finishers, sanders (belt and orbital), drills (stationary and pneumatic), routers, riveters (hand and petal operated), and any other tools required for the process.

  • Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure that finished products meet established standards and customer specifications. 

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including specifications, adjustments made, and time spent on each job. 

  • Adhere to production schedules by working within the established timelines to meet production goals and delivery deadlines. 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in sheet metal finishing techniques to enhance efficiency and quality. 

  • Accurately and in a timely manner complete all production and quality documents supporting AS9100 requirements.

  • Read and follow detailed written manufacturing instructions and use a variety of tools to produce components that meet the specifications as stated on the shop traveler and/or blueprint.

    Education and Experience:

  • One (1) or more years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment, preferred.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. This is an entry-to-mid-level position.

  • Experience operating angle grinder, blend motor, hand sander, band saw, and hand drills.

  • Previous work experience and education directly linked to the position may be considered.

  • Ability to utilize calipers, depth gauge, height gauge and micrometer.

  • Ability to read Blueprints preferred. Knowledge of inspection tools is also preferred.

  • Must be familiar with safety requirements in the manufacturing area.

    Additional Information:

  • $19.00 to $21.00 hourly DOE (depending on experience)

  •  Monday through Thursday 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM with overtime as business requires.
