Hub International Associate Account Manager, Employee Benefits in Riverside, California

Summary:

The Employee Benefits Associate Account Manager works collaboratively with the Producer and Account Team managing a limited book of business. Coordinates and provides day-to-day service for employee benefits clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships and understanding client needs. May serve as the day-to-day contact and provide resolution for client questions and issues.

Salary:

Salary for this position is $65,000 - $70,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports client relationships and deliverables throughout the client life cycle.

  • Meets with client and team to review open items.

  • Provides administrative support on larger clients.

  • Manages claims and coverage issue resolution for clients’ employees when elevated by the client.

  • Helps with clients’ billing and eligibility questions and escalates problems and/or exception requests with carriers/vendors.

  • Provides support on standard compliance items.

  • Supports open enrollment presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint software and conducts benefits webinars and/or records Brainshark presentations for employees and HR Managers.

  • Collaborates with Marketing Department on the creation and distribution of communication materials.

  • Supports new carrier, plan or vendor implementation.

  • Performs annual contract and invoice review.

  • Prepares master group files, client contact sheet, and maintains carrier files.

  • Collaborates on client RFP process from development, distribution, follow-up, analyzing.

  • Supports the Account Executive and/or Producer in strategy and execution.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • At least 1-3 years of related experience working as an Account Manager, Account Representative and/or a Benefits Analyst in the employee benefits arena (equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable).

Other Requirements:

Must hold (or obtain within 60 days of hire) a valid CA Life Agent license.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus.

Math Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; Knowledge of Project Management software and database software is preferred.

Management:

  • This position does not have any management or supervisory responsibilities.
