The GenAI Lead Data Scientist utilizes the latest advancements in Generative AI to solve business challenges and address client needs.
This pivotal role will be responsible for strategic planning and related innovation to build secure and scalable solutions that help our clients gain a competitive advantage.
The person will design and run experiments, research new algorithms and techniques, find new ways to optimize profitability and customer experience while minimizing risk.
In collaboration with Product Management, he/she will conduct research into the latest advancement in AI/GenAI, Digital, and Robotics Process Automation to support the recommendation for new solutions that meet our clients' needs and put the firm in an advantageous position.

uties & Responsibilities:
Work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, machine learning engineers and product managers to deliver GenAI powered products. Establish scope, deliverables and roadmap for GenAI.
Conduct GenAI assessments and develop rapid prototypes to showcase business process improvements, industry benefits, and market viability.
Works with stakeholders inside HORNE as well as with our customers to identify opportunities for leveraging meaningful data to drive GenAI output.
Assesses the quality of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Uses predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences. Creates new, experimental frameworks and utilizes ML technology. Deploy programmatic solutions into VMs, Cloud computing tools for automation. Use various data visualization and UX techniques to materialize GenAI output. Handle tasks for multiple projects simultaneously. Leverage a broad stack of technologies --- Azure, Data Lake, Data Streaming, Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning --- to reveal the insights hidden within large volumes of numeric and textual data. Be the expert in NLP to harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs), adapt and finetune them for customer-facing applications and features. Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation. Leverage strong interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals

Required 7+ years of experience in relevant data scientist roles. Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in data science, or Master's Degree plus 3 years or PhD plus 2 years of hands-on experience. 5+ years of experience with Python and SQL in machine learning. 5+ years of experience with natural language processing and large language models (LLMs)
5+ years of experience with statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
5+ years of experience with algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing, neural deep learning methods.
