Modivcare Transportation Manager in Ridgeland, Mississippi

Modivcare is looking for an experienced Transportation Manager. You will manage Customer Advocates, Leads and Supervisors, and perform supervisory responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws. You will route trips in the most efficient manner using contracted transportation providers or mass transit. You will communicate with recipients and their families, health care facilities, transportation providers and internal customers. You will report to the local Call Center leadership.

You will ...

  • Staff to route trips in the most efficient manner using contracted transportation providers or mass transit.

  • Ensure trips are routed to meet contractual obligations.

  • Evaluate and approve cost override requests withinbudgeted parameters; work with team to develop strategies to reduce override spend.

  • Monitor calls queues (i.e. provider line and mass transit) to ensure contractual requirements are met and ensure established procedures are being done in handling such calls.

  • Research issues associated to routing within the region, working with team members to resolve issues.

  • Evaluate reports and work with Network team to identify gaps or issues within the network and help resolve any issues.

  • Establish processes to ensure we are maximizing use of low-cost forms of transportation following our contracts.

  • Ensure that the assigned (or an alternate) provider quickly picks up our clients when trips are escalated to recovery mode because of issue with provider assigned.

  • Communicate with providers frequently and monitors their performance to gain understanding regarding problems affecting providers.

  • Run appropriate report(s) to monitor providers' cost.

  • Ensure that all staff are following the mission to provide quality NET to recipients.

  • Establish and validate the need for standing orders and ensure that adjustments are made.

  • Train staff on how to identify and prevent fraud waste and abuse.

  • Directly manage Customer Advocates, Leads and Supervisors; perform supervisory responsibilitiesfollowing the organization's policies and applicable laws.

We are excited to speak to someone with the following...

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with transportation providers or medical transportation.

  • Knowledge of transportation provider costs, pricing strategies, budget management, budget preparation and reporting.

  • Knowledge of Medicaid guidelines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

  • Leadership experience

Salary: Starting at $60,800.00 - $82,100.00 annually.

This role is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
