The Associate Director, Global Regulatory Affairs Analytics and Performance is dedicated to strategically aligning Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) objectives for all functions with quantifiable performance indicators, spearheading benchmarking efforts, and delivering valuable insights to refine processes and elevate overall organizational performance. The incumbent will independently develop a framework to create measures that will create a data-driven, ongoing performance management of GRA tasks across all critical deliverables to the human pharma organization. The incumbent will also create and maintain, and advance existing Business Intelligence tools (e.g., dashboards) to support strategic decision-making. This position is pivotal in ensuring seamless integration between strategic goals and operational implementation, fostering ongoing improvement, and championing a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for developing and implementing strategic plans to create performance metrics that align with the organization's long-term goals. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement, setting strategic priorities, and ensuring that all initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently.

  • Ensures that data required to drive relevant performance metrics are available and have sufficient quality. If not available, this role will be responsible to create a plan to capture such data within the organization. The incumbent will drive these efforts across all GRA functions independently and with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Monitors and analyzes performance data to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing processes and enhancing overall performance.

  • Acts as a liaison between Global Regulatory Affairs and other departments, fostering strong relationships and promoting effective communication to ensure alignment of strategic objectives and seamless integration of regulatory processes across the organization.

  • Facilitates communication and reporting of performance metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and promoting a culture of accountability.

  • Continuously researches and stays updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Drives benchmarking initiatives to identify best practices and areas for improvement.

  • Continuously monitors industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for data-driven performance management within the GRA organization to ensure responsiveness to the evolving regulatory landscape.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field: A minimum of a master's degree is required for this role. Relevant fields of study include life sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a data & analytics focused role within a function in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights is key. This includes the use of statistical analysis tools and techniques.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: An understanding of global regulatory requirements, guidelines, and procedures. This includes knowledge of the regulatory landscape in different regions and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance to various situations.

  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically and make recommendations that align with the organization's overall business objectives is essential.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to effectively present complex information to various stakeholders.

  • Project Management: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines is crucial.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify potential issues, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions is key.

  • Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, build strong relationships, and foster a collaborative work environment is important.

  • Adaptability: Given the rapidly changing nature of the regulatory landscape, the ability to adapt to new situations and changes in direction is crucial.

  • Attention to Detail: Given the high stakes of regulatory compliance, a strong attention to detail is essential.

  • Continual Learning: The willingness and ability to continually learn and stay updated on changes in the regulatory landscape is important.

Eligibility Requirements :

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Compensation

This position offers a base salary typically between $135,000 and $232,000.
