The US Early Assets Therapeutic Area (TA) Manager supports overall project management and the execution of tasks, initiatives, and projects that are fundamental to strategic portfolio planning and TA pipeline development. This role is responsible for overall project management, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and coordinating internal and external processes that support the development of US early asset deliverables.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports the US Early Assets TA Teams with asset deliverables and strategy execution.

  • Supports the US Early Assets TA Teams document and track progress on deliverables and milestone completion. Knowledgeable of deliverable interdependencies and able to identify project risks and potential impact of early or delayed completion to overall timelines.

  • Supports US Early Assets TA Teams and preparation of the US Early Integrated Asset Plan (eIAP), Asset Evidence Plan (AEP), and other key deliverables in coordination with the Global Asset Team.

  • Ensures the overall US deliverable plan is developed and current to ensure timely integrations within the global development strategy.

  • Project management lead, supporting preparation and collaboration of US Team input towards US and Global decision-making governance meetings (e.g., TALT, CEC, etc.). Schedules and documents Early Asset team meetings.

  • Builds project deliverables, including kickoff presentations, meeting decks, status memos, and final presentations.

  • Supplements planning efforts in support of critical external events.

  • Coordinates with internal resources to ensure the highest quality and efficiency when developing assets supporting our early portfolio.

  • Seeks opportunities to innovate and try new ways of doing things.

  • Embraces ambiguous situations and views failure as an opportunity to learn.

  • Quickly recognizes and proactively resolves issues with or deviation from proposed plans and timelines.

  • Collaborates with US Capability Owner to embed processes, standards, and tools that promote consistency and effective collaboration and communication across US Early Assets TA.

  • Supports best practice sharing, agile ways of working, and innovative mindset.

  • Manages and oversees workstream deliverables, budgets, and timelines.

  • Partners with global SPM for alignment and consistency in timeline and planning activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, science, medicine, or a related field required; an MBA, PharmD, or advanced graduate degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of overall pharmaceutical experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in early pipeline development, new product launch, and strategy development are required.

  • Demonstrated project management, and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and influence teams without authority are required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver results on large initiatives.

  • Well-developed leadership skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.

  • Project management Professional or Agile certification a plus.

  • Lean Six Sigma and process improvement experience are a plus.

Eligibility Requirements :

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Compensation

This position offers a base salary typically between $120,000 and $205,000.  The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.  For an overview of our benefits please click here.
