Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities
Primary duties includes being responsible for the technical aspects of the assigned area of operations to support repair projects and day-to-day expectations.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute repair plans and strategies.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related Engineering discipline (IE: Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial environment) .
Minimum of 3 years in a technical role
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
Eligibility Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
Must work 100% onsite at the GE Richmond, VA Repair Center
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
An individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or experience influencing others.
Experience in Machining, Welding and Mechanical assembly processes.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - 133,800.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least 8/20/2024.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
