Amentum Sr. Project Manager in RICHMOND, Virginia

This position is not currently funded and is contingent upon the award of a new contract to Amentum. At this time, Amentum is seeking candidates to fulfill contingent roles. The expected award timeframe is Summer 2024.

Our innovative and growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of IT Project Manager, Senior. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.

Responsibilities for IT Project Manager, Senior:

  • Maintain appropriate fiscal controls to ensure all projects are within the scope of the allocated budget

  • Provide superior client experience and strengthen relationships with all key stakeholders

  • Release status reporting and Plan of Record reporting, which includes budget responsibilities and communicating status to project teams and wider stakeholders

  • Coordinate of readiness for Deployment / Activation

  • Deliver all relevant project governance documentation & quality assurance

  • Support work stream leaders in identifying detailed requirements

  • Define scope, goals, work packages, work streams and deliverables

  • Design project plans incorporating 3rd party and external dependencies

  • Design business readiness & acceptance criteria compositions

  • Chair internal and external meetings, workshops & presentations

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of IT project management experience, or equivalent

  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.

Preferred:

  • PMP certification
