Insight Global Sr. Manager Contract Manufacturing in Richmond, Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Manager of Contract Manufacturing Manager to support a global specialty pharmaceutical company in the Richmond, VA area. This individual will be responsible for the oversight of external manufacturing/packaging activities and day-to-day business management of assigned Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) relationships with accountability for ensuring supply of product to patients on-time and for driving continuous improvement in risk, performance, quality and total cost. Questions individuals will need to answer:

  • Have you managed commercial production?

  • How do you monitor performance of the CMOs?

  • Have you negotiated commercial contracts?

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences

  • 10 years experience within the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of: manufacturing, quality, logistics, or manufacturing management

  • 5 years managing 3rd party suppliers

  • 2 years of negotiating commercial contracts - Master's Degree in Life Sciences

  • Professional certification in Lean Sigma, Project Management, or related areas

  • Currently working or previously worked at companies like: Bristol Myers Squibb, Astrazeneca, GSK, Gilead Sciences, and Pfizer

  • Strong negotiation abilities null
